Coming up
No promised dates. We ship when it's ready.Next
Squishy gets smarter at teaching
Squishy already summarizes maps and finds gaps. Next: she does it by voice too, building example branches with you in real time.
Soon
Considering
Live layout modes
Framework templates now open in their true shape. Next: live auto-arrange you can re-apply any time (tidy a messy map into a tree, radial, or grid on demand).
Public gallery
Browse public maps from the community. Discover patterns, fork to start your own.
Mobile optimization
A focused pass for touch interactions, smaller node sizing, simplified UI. The canvas works on mobile but is not yet polished.
More templates, more often
Curated additions to the template picker as patterns emerge — retros, weekly reviews, study guides. Templates aren’t a one-and-done.
Mobile app
Native iOS and Android, optimized for thumb-driven editing. Different beast from the in-browser mobile polish above — a real app on your home screen.
Voice tours
Squishy walks new users through their first map in a guided session — narrating, demoing, building example branches with them as they go.
Webhook integrations
Pipe events to Zapier, Slack, anywhere. Node created, comment added, map updated — anything you’d want to plug into your own automation.
Named palettes & sync
Custom colours ship today (pick an accent, get a palette). Next: name and save multiple palettes, and sync them across devices instead of just this browser.
What we shipped
- v5.1
Dot-voting — and a much snappier site
June 2026- ▸Dot-voting on nodes: click the ▲ chip (or press V) to vote, and the tally updates live for everyone in a shared map — so a group can prioritise together and the result sticks
- ▸Anyone viewing a map sees the tallies; signed-in collaborators cast the votes
- ▸The public site (home, blog, templates, pricing and friends) now renders as static pages, so it loads noticeably faster
Squishy:Vote with the little ▲, darling. I tally in real time and I do not play favourites. Mostly.
- v5.0
Image nodes, a Gallery view, and a spreadsheet-grade Table
June 2026- ▸Attach an image to a node and it turns into a card — the picture fills the top, your title rides a clean strip beneath it (yes, it’s a little bit Pinterest)
- ▸A new Gallery / Moodboard view lays your whole map out as image cards — ideal for visual brainstorms, mood boards, and picking a direction at a glance
- ▸The Table view grew up: a tidy hierarchy grid that mirrors your tree, with one click to flatten it into a sortable, filterable spreadsheet (path breadcrumbs and all)
Squishy:Drop a picture on a node, darling — I’ll frame it. Then flip to Gallery and admire your own genius.
- v4.9
Frameworks that snap to shape
June 2026- ▸The framework templates now open in their real layout — Fishbone fans its cause ribs around the effect, the 2×2 Matrix lands in quadrants, and Kanban / Roadmap open as proper lanes
- ▸No fiddling required: pick the template and it’s already shaped the way the framework is meant to look
Squishy:Fishbone actually looks like a fish now, darling. Took me long enough.
- v4.8
Live reactions + your own colours
June 2026- ▸Live reactions — open the reactions bar in a shared map and fire emoji that float up the screen for everyone, in real time
- ▸Custom colours — pick a primary accent and SquishyMind fans it into a harmonious palette for your whole map
- ▸Your palette sticks across sessions, and resets to any built-in theme in one click
Squishy:Throw a 🎉 when someone nails it, darling. And yes, you can finally make me match your brand.
- v4.7
Frameworks, new themes, and a workshop timer
June 2026- ▸Four new thinking-framework templates: Fishbone (cause & effect), a 2×2 Priority Matrix, a Now/Next/Later Roadmap, and a Kanban board
- ▸Two new themes — Nebula (cool cyan) and Ember (warm amber) — join Aurora, Sunrise, Forest, and Mono
- ▸A workshop session timer (5/15/25-min) for running timed ideation — find it in the command palette
- ▸Faster map list as your collection grows (a behind-the-scenes database tune-up)
Squishy:Pick Ember, set a 25-minute timer, and fishbone your way to the truth, darling. I’ll keep time.
- v4.6
Version history + professional templates
June 2026- ▸Version history — hit “Save a version” (or 🕑 History) to snapshot your map, and restore any earlier state with one click
- ▸Restoring is safe: it snapshots your current map first, so you can always wind back the wind-back
- ▸Six deep professional templates — full marketing campaign, SEO project, website build, product launch, content strategy, and creative brief, each mapped the way a pro actually works
- ▸New public Templates page so you can browse them before you sign up
Squishy:I keep little snapshots now, darling. Break the map all you like — I remember who you were.
- v4.5
Command palette, a smarter Squishy, and presentation mode
June 2026- ▸Press ⌘K (Ctrl+K) anywhere in the editor for a command palette — switch views, export, change theme, and more without hunting for buttons
- ▸Squishy can now read your whole map: ask her to summarize it, find what you're missing, or expand it into an action plan
- ▸Presentation mode walks your map branch-by-branch full screen — and Squishy can narrate it out loud
- ▸Focus mode (press S) dims everything but the branch you're working on
- ▸Tick a node off as done (press X) — it gets a ✓ and a little confetti, because finishing things should feel good
- ▸Nodes and panels got a design refresh — cleaner glass, softer glow, same wobble
Squishy:I read the whole thing while you weren't looking. You're missing three things. Press ⌘K and I'll tell you.
- v4.4
Export to PNG and PDF · prettier blog
June 2026- ▸The Export button grew up — your map now saves as a crisp PNG image or a print-ready PDF, not just JSON
- ▸It fits the whole map to frame and snapshots it at 2× so the picture is sharp wherever it lands
- ▸JSON export stays exactly as it was, and still re-imports cleanly — nothing taken away
- ▸The blog got illustrated: every post now has its own hero image and a proper social card when you share it
Squishy:Now you can take me places, darling. Slide decks. Emails. The fridge, if you must.
- v4.3
Flow controls live on the lines now
May 2026- ▸Every link gets its own little chip at the midpoint of the line — click it to edit that link's flow direction or unlink it
- ▸Chip glyph reads the current state at a glance: → forward, ← backward, ↔ both, — none
- ▸Detail panel's Flow & Links section is gone — once you had three links the stacked pickers were impossible to map back to which arrow each one controlled
- ▸Mid-line chips land in Tree view too
Squishy:Now the picker IS the line, darling. You always knew which one you were poking.
- v4.2
Unlink in the picker · arrows that keep going
May 2026- ▸New X button in the link picker — drop on the wrong card by accident? Undo it without leaving the flow
- ▸Fixed: flow arrows used to quietly stop animating after a few edits. They now keep traveling no matter how much you fiddle
- ▸Compact "Share" button now lives in the top nav on every page — popover on desktop, native share sheet on mobile
Squishy:I tried to keep the arrows moving while you weren't looking, darling. I really did.
- v4.1
Share buttons everywhere
May 2026- ▸New share row on Home, Pricing, Founder Access, and Changelog — X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Reddit, WhatsApp, Telegram, email, copy link
- ▸On mobile and Safari, a native "Share…" button opens iMessage, AirDrop, Messenger, whatever you have installed
- ▸Per-page copy — the founder page invites people to grab founder pricing, the changelog invites them to peek at what's new
- ▸Canvas minimap moved to the top-right corner so the Squishy voice agent stops sitting on top of it
Squishy:Tell everyone, darling. I sound better in a crowd.
- v4.0
Flow chip lands in Tree view
May 2026- ▸Tree cards now have the same flow chip the canvas does — click to set the parent-edge direction, drag to link to another card
- ▸Drag-ghost trails the cursor as a dashed curve so you can aim a new link without guessing
- ▸Inline picker opens above the dropped-onto card so you can pick → ← ↔ — without leaving the tree
- ▸Same guards as the canvas — can't link to your direct parent or child (those already have a tree edge)
- ▸Source card glows accent-coloured while you drag, so it's obvious where the link is coming from
Squishy:Tree view finally feels as alive as the canvas, darling. I was waiting.
- v3.9
Flow you can see from across the room
May 2026- ▸Flow direction now shows as actual triangle arrows traveling the line, not subtle dashes
- ▸Each direction has its own colour — → emerald, ← amber, ↔ both, — slate
- ▸Picker buttons echo the same palette so you can tell at a glance what mode is set
- ▸Same treatment in Tree view; Canvas + Tree match
Squishy:You don't have to squint anymore, darling. The flow is right there.
- v3.8
Flow, in motion
May 2026- ▸Flow direction now animates — little packets slide along each edge so you can see direction at a glance
- ▸New chip below the + on every node — click to set parent-edge flow, drag to link to another node
- ▸Drag the chip onto any node to create a cross-link; then pick its flow direction inline
- ▸Tree view shows the same arrows and dashed cross-links as the canvas
- ▸Prefers-reduced-motion respected — animation pauses for users who want it still
Squishy:I can see the thinking move now, darling. It's thrilling.
- v3.7
Arrows, flow, and cross-links
May 2026- ▸Every parent-child edge can now carry a flow direction — → ← ↔ or no arrow
- ▸New "links" — connect any node to any other node, no parent-child needed
- ▸Links draw as dashed lines so they're distinct from the structural tree
- ▸Per-link flow direction too — same → ← ↔ — so you can show influence vs. cause
- ▸Pickers live in the node detail panel (every view, including the canvas)
Squishy:You can finally tell me which way the thinking goes, darling. I was guessing before.
- v3.6
Attachments on canvas, click-to-edit in Table
May 2026- ▸Canvas detail card now handles file attachments — PDF, doc, zip, audio, video (10 MB)
- ▸Drag any file onto a node to attach it; images still go to the image slot
- ▸Click any cell in Table view to open the full detail panel
- ▸Type-coded icons — 📕 PDF, 🗄 zip, 📊 csv, 🎵 audio, 🎬 video
- ▸Attachment rows live-tint with the node's colour swatch
Squishy:Drop the whole binder on me, darling. I'll keep it neat.
- v3.5
Templates, properly furnished
May 2026- ▸All 8 starter templates now 3–5× richer — depth-three structure throughout
- ▸Project Planning carries 60 nodes, Second Brain 66, Trip Planning 62
- ▸Decision Tree gained a Criteria branch and a proper Do-Nothing path
- ▸Trip Planning added Documents and Budget sections
- ▸Second Brain added a Finance domain
- ▸OKRs now have a check-ins branch and a risks-and-blockers branch
Squishy:I gave each template a personality, darling. Some of them have opinions now.
- v3.4
Founder Access — the honest version
May 2026- ▸Retired the "free forever" promise — see /founder-access for why
- ▸Beta signups now get Founder Access: 40% off Premium ($2.99/mo) forever
- ▸Plus a bigger free tier you keep — 8 maps, 150 nodes, 40 voice minutes
- ▸New /pricing page lays out the three tiers side by side
- ▸Polish: icon-only delete on Tree cards, wider cards, brighter edges
- ▸Fun SVG icons added to every feature card on the home page
Squishy:I changed my mind about "forever," darling. I prefer "honestly."
- v3.3
Notes, images, and attachments — everywhere
May 2026- ▸New side-drawer detail panel — open it from any view by clicking ⓘ
- ▸Edit a node's note, image, and attachments without leaving the alt views
- ▸Attach PDF, doc/docx, xls/csv, zip, audio, video — 10 MB cap
- ▸≡ / ▣ / ◧ flag pills show at a glance which rows have what
- ▸Tree view collapse layout is now height-aware — no more overlap
Squishy:Darling, every node has secrets. Now you can keep them tidy.
- v3.2
Views, Dazzled
May 2026- ▸Outline view now folds, shows tree guides, and counts hidden descendants
- ▸Tree view has zoom, fit-to-screen, gradient edges, and proper card lift
- ▸Table view gets row numbers, colour tags, stats, and a density toggle
- ▸Five-accent palette flows from Canvas into every other view
- ▸Fixed a crash that stopped the editor loading for everyone today
Squishy:Same brain, four outfits. Pick the one that fits the mood.
- v3.1
Imports & Four Views
May 2026- ▸Bring existing notes in — paste or upload Markdown, CSV, OPML, or JSON
- ▸Three new views beside the wobbly Canvas: Outline, Tree, Table
- ▸Toggle from the toolbar; your last view sticks across sessions
- ▸Same data rendered four ways — nothing converts on switch
- ▸Squishy switches view by voice — “show me as a tree”
Squishy:Bring your old stuff in, darling. I’ll make it look gorgeous.
- v3.0
Collaboration. Done.
May 2026- ▸Threaded comments on any node — owners, editors, and commenters all post
- ▸“Sam editing” badge appears on the node a collaborator opens
- ▸Commenter role is now properly read-only on the canvas, with comments allowed
- ▸Squishy notices when other people are in the map and mentions them naturally
- ▸Premium signposting — free during beta and forever for early signups
Squishy:There you all are. Try not to crowd me.
- v2.10
Two Brains
April 2026- ▸Invite people by email as Editor or Commenter, all from the editor
- ▸See each other’s cursors moving on the canvas in real time
- ▸Edits sync between browsers in about a second — no refresh
- ▸Members panel for owners to change roles or remove access
- ▸More v3 collaboration features (edit awareness, comments) on the way
Squishy:Two brains are weirder than one, darling. Bring a friend.
- v2.9
Templates, Drag-to-Move, Voice Themes
April 2026- ▸Eight starter templates so a blank brain isn’t the first sight
